“Big Idea”

The IMYC Process of Learning provides a comprehensive structured curriculum that integrates all subject matters under “One Big Idea”. This integration provides a more cohesive and meaningful academic experience for the students as they see how each subject matter relates to the next and to the world.

Students link the learning in their different subjects through the big idea, considering what they’re learning from personal, interpersonal and global perspective. It is the Big idea that connects the learning and exploring across the subjects.

Kinderstation Junior High School assess students' knowledge in a variety of ways. Here are the standardize scoring system of the said school that makes it valid and reliable that measures what it is supposed to measure.

  • Daily test, homework, observation 40%

  • Practical test 25%

  • Mid test 15%

  • Final test 20%

Measuring such things as attitudes or preferences also applies and they are using the 8 personal goals of IMYC that depends in what grade the students are in.

To sum up, they assess learning, and evaluate results in terms of some set of criteria. These terms are certainly share some common attributes, but it is useful to think of them as separate but connected ideas and processes.
